They will look back with thankfulness upon\u00a0the\u00a0darkest part of their way. &#8216;The\u00a0Lord knoweth how\u00a0to\u00a0deliver\u00a0the\u00a0godly,\u201d\u00a02 Peter 2:9. From every temptation and every trial He will bring them forth with firmer faith and a richer experience.'&#8221; <em>Desire of Ages<\/em> p. 258<\/p><p><span style=\"color: #c50f1d;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Achievements:<\/span><\/strong><\/span> There will be accomplishments and successes by earthly standards. But, there will be disappointments. Allow the One who called you to measure , encourage and judge your achievements. However strong the powers of darkness may press upon us, one can chase a thousand\u00a0and &#8220;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">two<\/span>&#8221; put ten thousand to flight.&#8221; Manuscript Releases, Vol. 2, p. 112<\/p><p><span style=\"color: #c50f1d;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Faithful Endeavor:<\/span><\/strong><\/span> Notice the word &#8220;faithful&#8221; connected to the word endeavor suggesting there will be effort expended on your part and work. He works in you because you have a goal to reach others with the everlasting gospel! As you venture into sometimes unknown territories, the glory of the Lord will be your &#8220;rereward.&#8221; (vs. 8, Isaiah 58:6-12.)<\/p><p>Note: Rereward is defined as a rearguard\u2014that part of a military force that protects it from attack from the rear either during an advance or withdrawal. Have you ever heard the slang expression, &#8220;I have your back.&#8221; This is what it means\u2014the Lord has us covered\u2014&#8221;our back support!&#8221;<\/p><p>&#8220;The approval of the Master is not given\u00a0because\u00a0of the greatness\u00a0of the\u00a0work performed, but because\u00a0of\u00a0fidelity (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">faithfulness<\/span>) in all that has been done. It\u00a0is not the results we attain, but\u00a0the\u00a0motives from which we act, that weigh with God.
