BROCCOLI ARTICHOKE PITA PIZZA <\/strong>– Page 288\u00a0(Italian)<\/em> (Note:<\/strong> gf* option, use brown rice tortilla or gf flat bread or gf bread)<\/em>
\nPreheat oven at 400\u00b0F
\n1) Brush ww* pita with extra virgin olive oil (puffy part face down)
\n2) Cover pitas almost to the edge (12 inch) with SS Zesty BBQ Sauce – See page 304 (recipe below)
\n3) Add SS Real Cheezy Cheese – See page 282 (recipe below)
\n4) Add tiny washed, drained and steamed broccoli floret pieces, and artichoke hearts and cut in small pieces.
\n5) Add toppings: sliced olives, Slice American Cheese – See page 283 (recipe below)
\n6) Bake at 400\u00b0F for approx. 10 min. or til brown on top.
\n7) Place on cooling rack then serve. Refrigerate well overnight for serving a Sabbath meal the next day. (Stack no more than 2 layers).<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>4 cups of Marinara Sauce – See page 286
\n1\/4 c. honey
\n2 T. onion powder
\n2 t. garlic powder
\n1 T. Wright’s Smoke Flavor (opt.)
\n1\/4 c. molasses
\n1\/4 c. tomato paste
\n1\/4 c. or less extra virgin oil
\npinch of cayenne
\n1 t. salt (may add less)<\/p>\n

Simmer in a medium pot on low for 20 to 30 min.<\/p>\n

SS REAL CHEEZY CHEESE<\/strong>\u00a0Page 282\u00a0(No nuts)<\/em>
\nPut in a blender and blend:
\n2 c. water
\n\u2153 c. extra virgin olive oil
\n2 T. tapioca or arrowroot starch
\n2 t. salt
\n1 t. garlic powder
\n1\/3 c. ww pastry flour or gf flour
\n2\/3 c. nutritional yeast flakes
\n1\/4 C. sweet red peppers
\n2 T. lemon juice
\n1 t. onion powder
\n1\/4 C. sesame tahini<\/p>\n

NOTE:<\/strong> Pour into saucepan and cook over medium high heat until thickened, stirring almost constantly or use as dip or in recipes. Pour into storage container and refrigerate.<\/p>\n

SLICE AMERICAN CHEESE<\/strong> – Page 283 (Time 20 min. Slice, Grate, Bake!)<\/em>
\nSoak 4 T. agar flakes with 2 c. water for 5 minutes, then bring to a boil. (Do not boil away, only boil until agar is clear.)
\nBlend:
\n\u00bd c. nutritional yeast
\n1 c. water
\n3\/4 c. cashew nuts
\n1 c. tomato paste
\n3 T. onion powder
\n1\/3 c. virgin coconut oil (contributes to hardness when cold)
\n1 T. garlic powder
\n3\/4 T. sea salt
\n1\/2 t. paprika
\n3 T. lemon juice
\n1 T. tahini<\/p>\n

Add agar mixture. Blend until smooth. Pour into bread pan like container that has been sprayed with olive oil. Refrigerate for 4-5 hours. Slice or grate.<\/p>\n

CRISP ONION RINGS<\/strong> – Page 258
\nSlice 5 medium to large onions and separate into single rings. Put into a bowl and coat well with:
\n1\/4 c. nutritional yeast flakes
\n2 t. garlic powder
\n2 T. BAKON\u00ae Yeast (Torula)
\n1 T. smoked paprika
\n2 T. extra virgin olive oil
\n3 T. Bragg\u2019s Liquid Aminos or<\/span> substitute<\/p>\n

Place on paraflexx sheets in dehydrator at 115\u00b0F overnight. Space racks so air will circulate well. Dry for approximately 12-15 hours, or until crispy.<\/p>\n
