Description
What a thriller? Something that goes beyond the fluff of Biblical fiction and speculative apocalyptic? Try this inspired author! In She Kissed the Face of God, she pulls back the curtain to disclose behind-the-scenes mysteries which for millennia have clustered around and shrouded the greatest drama of the ages.
What Mel Gibson’s recent movie did to help spiritual pilgrims visually portray the passion of the Christ, E.G. White’s contemplative pen goes even deeper. The reader encounters virtual reality through word-pictures that electrify the imagination and inspire our hearts to dig more deeply into scripture to unlock raison d’etre for the Bible story of redemption.

The Gospels only twice tell of people kissing Jesus. A woman at Bethany, “a sinner,” tearfully washed His feet and lovingly kissed those blessed feet. She was Mary, sister of Lazarus and Martha. Another kiss, one of betrayal, occurred mere days afterwards, in the Garden of Gethsemane. This kiss was by Judas Iscariot. This kiss led to Our Lord’s being seized and brutally crucified.
All else of kisses is, in the Four Gospels, enshrouded in deepest silence. The best of human reason and practical logic would suggest that there was at least one additional person, however, who often must have adorned her Savior with a kiss as a symbol of affection. This would be Mary, His mother. Such is the thought that is captured in the title of this reprinting of the first eight chapters of the million-copy classic best-selling volume “The Desire of Ages.”
“The Desire of Ages” repeatedly is referenced by spiritual leaders as the best book on the life of Christ ever written. This special reprinting of its first eight chapters is being provided to you at the initiative of Homeward Publishing, whose energies and reprintings also have brought to an appreciative public the “Passion of the Ages.” Alvin M.
